Building Performance Simulation Quality Assurance - database
Submitted by the_donn on Mon, 06/04/2007 - 20:31.A Quality Assurance process for building environment simulation is essential to develop sufficient trust in the simulation that it will be used for design decision support. Central to this Quality Assurance process is a set of Quality Control procedures including a simulation 'truth' test and a database of material and component properties. The 'truth' test assesses the reality of the e-building constructed with the simulation.
Materials Properties for Rendering Light
Submitted by qa_admin_07 on Thu, 06/12/2008 - 22:32.The most important aspect of rendering light accurately is defining the geometry and the materials properties accurately - in REAL WORLD units. Compter graphiscs techniques and short cuts are to be avoided at all cosats. This page of the {Day}light Rendering wiki is dedicated to the provision of physically accurate materials properties for use in simulation programs. The aiom is not to list properties but toi define what are the minimum requirements for publication of materials properties.
