Creating Content - Blog entries, Books, Pages and Stories

In the left column of the aecsimqa.net web site there is a pull-out menu <Adding Content> which pulls out the options illustrated below:

The structure that this pull out reveals is a web site that has the facility to:

  • create individual pages of content such a the page describing the IEA SHC Research Task 31 Research Programme: http://www.aecsimqa.net/en/DaylightResearch
  • link a set of pages together as a book such as http://www.aecsimqa.net/en/Daylight-Roadmap
  • create blog entries such as the current page that are commentary or comment that are associated with particular content (pages or books) and therefore appear below each page / book entry
  • a story is in fact, functionally just the same as a page - the underlying Drupal software allows them to be styled to look different

ALL posts are logged as to their author and date of posting. They are all able to then be edited by all people registered with the permissions to edit. Permission can be alloctaed by page if necessary. That is not occurring at present.

If changes are made and logged, then the versions can be tracked in the page / blog / book editing interface. And, the previous versions are available - linked and ready to consult / compare with most recent values.
